Who We Are:

The Navajo Department of Workforce Development is the largest Native American grantee of Workforce Investment Act funding and services in the United States.

Our service delivery area covers all of the Navajo Nation boundaries, including all the bordertowns adjacent to the Navajo Nation.

We have been operating job training funds since 1973 from a grant from the United States Department of Labor. We employ approximately 100 full-time and temporary staff in Chinle, AZ, Crownpoint, NM, Fort Defiance, AZ, Shiprock, NM and Tuba City, AZ to serve your needs and answer your questions.

What We Do:

• Classroom training/vocational training/GED
• Tuition payment assistance
• Lodging/rent  assistance
• Books/supplies assistance
• Meal expenses
• Relocation or lay off assistance
